What is the 3rd UAE Medical Students’ Conference?
The 3rd UAE Medical Students’ Conference is a two-day conference, held every year in March or April, at which more than 500 medical students will discuss various topics concerning medicine.

What is the purpose of the 3rd UAE MSC?
The goal of the MSC is two-fold. Firstly, it aims at creating an international network for young doctors: medical students will have the opportunity to get to know each other and share knowledge with their colleagues, from around the world. Secondly, students will have the chance to formally present their research, review or cases in an oral or poster presentation, which prepares them for their professional careers. It is a conference organized by students for students.

What are the activities during the 3rd UAE MSC?
The conference is by itself a two day event preceded by a series of pre conference workshops. The second day of the conference is also followed by the annual post conference cruise.

What students can participate?
The MSC is open to anyone who is interested. The MSC is especially designed for students studying Medicine either doing their preclinical or clinical years. For active participation in the conference a good knowledge of English and an interest in medical research is recommended.

Who can participate?
Everyone who is interested can participate, but the MSC is especially designed for medical students.

How can you participate and apply?
There are two different ways to participate in the MSC. First, there is the possibility to present a research, review or case you have prepared yourself at the conference. To apply for this you will have to submit an abstract of the project through this website. A second way to participate is to register as a visiting participant and attend the lectures of presenting students and prominent speakers and the workshops. What does the program look like?
The program will contain a social program, presentations of the presenting participants, and guest lecturers of international prominent speakers and a series of pre-conference workshops. Look here for the schedule as it is planned now.

Is it possible, that several persons apply as authors for one presentation?
A maximum of 3 persons will be accepted as the presenting participant. Other persons, working on the same project, may apply with an own abstract or can be mentioned as co-authors and can participate as visiting participant. Please download the criteria form for further details.

What are the workshops?
Every year a series of workshops are arranged with the conference. These workshops will cover areas of interest for both clinical and preclinical students. The 3rd UAE MSC will play host to 7 workshops to be held in association with Dubai Knowledge Village, Rashid Hospital and Dubai Medical College for Girls.
