General Library provides almost 2000 books for
MBBS curriculum with international standard. This
includes pre clinical, para clinical and other
clinical subjects which are useful in understanding
the medical teaching as problem based learning.
Apart from books others like international journals;
local hospital current medical updates are also
available to understand the recent proceedings.
All the books are arranged under the American
system of classification DDC( Dewey Decimal Classification
- 21st Edition). These facilities are available
during duty hours and special hours during university
examination.

Medical
Books: All pre clinical , Para clinical
and other clinical subjects are available with
university requirement and guidelines. Books referred
by the university occupy 70% of books available
for each subject to the medical students and remaining
meant for reference and common use. These include
physics. Chemistry, Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry,
Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, General
medicine, Community medicine, Behavioral Science,
Surgery, Orthopedics, Obstetrics and Gynecology,
ENT and Gastroenterology.
Special Books:
These includes books which are going to help other
licensing examinations and understand the importance
both pre and Para clinical subjects in relation
to the clinical problems like
USMLE I, II, III PLAB I, II Practical manual (hand
books) - Drug information and books for all clinical
Specialties New books with recent information
on molecular genetics, updates etc.
Journals: All
free journals meant for clinical and Para clinical
subjects are available. Examples, American medical
association journals UK-medical digest Middle
East publications of certain international journals
like Lancet, JAMA, Archives, and Updates etc.
Arab Health, magazine Medical Bulletins Free online
medical journals.
Audio/Visual Aids:
a) Anatomy, biochemistry, pathology CD’s
for practical and theoretical Explanation are
available during working hours with a help from
librarian.
b) Study materials like flash cards, posters for
each subjects.
