| The
4 ½ years MBBS Program of the International University
of the Health Sciences (IUHS), St. Kitts, recognized
by the Government of St. Christopher & Nevis, West
Indies and also listed in the WHO World Directory of
Medical Schools, includes 2 years of pre-clinical training
and 2 ½ years of clinical rotations supplemented
by Exit I & Exit – II University Examinations.
The Registration, Examination, Evaluation & Certification
shall be directly done by the University and the students
enrolled for the MBBS Program of the IUHS shall be trained
at Universal Empire Institute of Medical Sciences in Ras Al Khaimah. The 2 years of pre-clinical training shall be
conducted at UEIMS Ras Al Khaimah. Thereafter, the 2 ½
years of Clinical training shall be undergone at University
approved Hospitals world wide including in US or UK
under a mentor.
On successful completion of the pre-clinical and clinical
training, supplemented by the University Internal and
Exit Exams, the students will be conferred with the
MBBS Degree of International University of the Health
Sciences, listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools,
making them eligible to appear for Licensing Exam worldwide,
including USMLE, PLAB, MOH & MCI Screening Test
for foreign medical graduates, as per the licensing
requirements, subject to any local laws. The course/degree
is not recognized by medical council of India / UGC
and the students are considered as foreign medical graduates.
The Registration in India will be subject to the licensing
requirements of the medical council of India/ UGC which
includes screening Test for foreign medical graduates.
The Curriculum includes training for the Licensing Exams,
including USMLE, PLAB & MCI Screening Test for foreign
medical graduates.
