The institute has an ongoing and dynamic commitment to the 4 years degree program of B.D.S. ( Bachelor of Dental Surgery ) and expansion of post-graduate education, research and provides facilities.
Altamash Institute of Dental Medicine comprises of three divisions:
College of Dental Medicine : A four-year degree program is offered to the undergraduate students, on successful completion of which students are awarded with a degree of BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) from University of Karachi, Pakistan.
Post-graduate Institute : The Institute provides facilities for post-graduate students to complete their requirements in various disciplines.
Research Center : The faculty of dentistry is carrying out a scientific research in oral health in collaboration with world wide prestigious dental and medical institutions and companies related to dentistry. Emphasis is given to latest dental technology in epidemiology, periodontology, cariology, implantology and dental laser therapy.
Hospital:
The Defence Campus presently has outpatient dental treatment operatories for general public, a diagnostic and emergency clinic, a children's clinic, a senior citizens comprehensive care clinic and an oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic.
The Institute Hospital has its own fully equipped radiology centre with the facilities of orthopantomogram, cephalogram and peri-apical X-ray machines. A modern Dental Laboratory offers all types of dental prosthesis to AIDM patients.
The Department of Community Health Sciences designs and monitors all Public Health Programs that caters to the needs of the community. The AIDM fully participates and abides by their directives and standards.
